I would give both of these a try if you are looking for something new and exciting and decide which one you like more.Īlso, Lands to Conquer gold is a must have because it seems like the same things as Vanilla but many bugs and problems have been ironed out offering a satisfying game. Also, both these mods slow down combat significantly a And they added in the Bulgars, who I think are an important faction. I have limited experience with Broken Crescent (due to CTDs) but they seem to focus more on Eastern factions which look very good. The knights and heavy armoured infantry is more rare but is a powerful unit on the battlefield. Even mounted seargents have a role in early campaign. In the earlier period, Cavalry is the main focus and cavalry has been overhauled to be much more effective. Also, there is a focus on peasent/militia units that make up the bulk of armies just like in RL. And game mechanics changed up (missile effects, cavalry charges etc). Well balanced, lots of cool new features, relatively stable. The Orthodox factions look awsome, many more units for all factions. If you want something that is challenging and more authentic historically then try either Stainless Steel 6.3+6.4 OR Broken Crecent.
